Photo below: On 10/20/2006, the Greater Cincinnati Chinese Music Society created "a lovely evening of beautiful music, wine tasting and conversations about music, wine, and Chinese culture" at the Society's Fall 2006 Wine & Music Party. An edifying selection of red and white wines were uncorked. The sampling of spiritual delights was followed by a tour of world caliber music from Meng-Chun Lin, soprano and Weng Lei, pianist. The Chin family presented a medley of folk songs. Also on hand was Chen Lin, Field Service Assistant Professor of Orchestra Conducting at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music who gave an informative presentation on the contemporary interface of the music of the East and West. This affair is an invigorating conception that is worthy of encore.
